Skillet2Plate Soul Bistro (York, Pa.) — a restaurant serving modern, southern-style cuisine such as chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, mac and cheese, collard greens, cabbage and homemade peach tea.

Taco Amigos (Harrisburg, Pa.) — an authentic Mexican restaurant serving tacos, quesadillas and more using traditional Mexican ingredients.

Whole Heart Grief & Life Resource Center (Frederick, Md.) — a non-profit organization that helps individuals identify their needs, understand their options and make positive choices while managing the issues of life, loss, leadership and legacy.

Arcana Recovery is a drug and alcohol recovery support app that helps with relapse prevention.  Founded by a veteran following her own successful recovery from substance abuse, Arcana Recovery empowers people to set goals, journal during moments of self-reflection, join groups, identify triggers, schedule appointments, talk to support team members, and more – in a safe, dignified, and confidential way.

Cece’s Cake Shop is an in-home bakery based in Harrisburg, specializing in custom cakes, cupcakes and cookies. Each dessert is baked fresh to order, with every flavor profile taken into consideration to equal a dessert you’re sure to love.

​

Four Squares Development is an affordable housing development firm in York focused on developing affordable housing in the “four squares” around the Royal Square District.  The Company operates with over 15 years of experience in the York and broader Pennsylvania markets. This history and range of experience allow for an interdisciplinary approach to every new opportunity the Company pursues.

Good Brotha’s Book Café is a coffee shop and bookstore in the Harrisburg area, offering coffee, teas and other beverages, pastries and a great selection of books written by Black authors. Good Brotha’s sister company, Fifth Acres Coffee, offers retail coffee options in local grocery stores.

Health Check Juice Bar is a juice bar in Annville serving fresh juice, acai/smoothie bowls, avocado toast, salad and more. Health Check has been providing health food options since 2021.

​

Identity is an adoption support application and consulting firm focused on interracial adoptions and their unique circumstances. Identity was established in 2021 in Harrisburg.

​

Flavor 91 Bistro is a family-owned and operated dining establishment in Whitehall, Ohio, serving healthy American fare with Ethiopian flair. Meals are cooked from scratch and contain locally sourced organic ingredients.

​

Color Coded Labs partners with Ohio businesses and provides a 16-week tech & coding boot camp for students. The company’s program aims to remove barriers for enrollment and career transition and opens doors for job placements with great companies dedicated to diversity.

​

Nia Studio provides a space and a technology-based business platform to small business entrepreneurs in the King-Lincoln district. Nia Studio is a destination for services that include movement art classes, yoga, meditation, dance and fitness.

2021 Clients

Blazin’ J’s is a restaurant that delivers delicious fried and grilled chicken dishes with handmade sauces and dips. Specializing in its J’s Way hot chicken sandwich, Blazin’ J’s food is made with fresh, never frozen, ingredients. Blazin’ J’s opened its doors in November 2019 and credits the love and support of its community with helping the restaurant survive the pandemic.

 

CheerNotes is a greeting card brand and retailer that recognizes and amplifies the artists, experiences and cultures of communities often underrepresented in the card aisle. It curates a selection from diverse independent card companies and artists to offer customers inclusive designs and messaging. CheerNotes launched in January 2020.

 

MoversForMe is a local and long-distance carrier of household goods and general freight providing top-quality moving services at affordable rates. MoversForMe mainly operates in Central and Southeast Pennsylvania but also able to service customers in the contiguous United States. Its clients include small and commercial businesses relocating or requiring deliveries as well as residents moving into a new home.

Na’toria Marketing and Design Solutions is a Harrisburg-based marketing and design firm focusing on graphic and web design, social media content development, small business marketing strategies and everything in between. Its leadership’s passion is helping minority-owned small businesses and entrepreneurs develop marketing and brand awareness campaigns for business growth.

 

Stick N' Move Boxing is a York boxing gym and nonprofit focused on helping economically disadvantaged children and adults build their self-confidence and cultural awareness while improving their overall wellness. Its unique curriculum is offered through educational, after-school or character-building programs in the community.
